You know how reading a good book can transport you to another time, another place? That holds true for me when I’m researching and finding new trends in housing. Don’t laugh, it’s true!
Last week I discovered this beautiful new development…wait for it, on the River Thames in London’s Chelsea neighborhood. Cheyne Walk Moorings is a collection of houseboats that have all the amenities of a traditional flat, with the added delight of a morning commute using the river boat taxi service.
Next, I “traveled” back stateside and drifted down to Wilmington and then further south to Charleston, SC where houseboat living has never been more popular. These homes have the creature comforts we want in a traditional home or apartment, with a waterfront view. Although you may be minutes from the hustle and bustle of a big city, the feeling of seclusion is guaranteed.
