I recently attended the ULI Housing Opportunity Conference and participated in a tour of Tempe Micro Estates; an affordable housing project developed by four engineering students at Arizona State University. The site has 13 energy-efficient, 600 square-foot, one-bedroom homes created with a “human-centered design concept”. It was an inspiring experience and gives me hope for innovative housing solutions.
